Meeting October 10-12, 2008! Come join us for a great time of reunion, reminiscing and regalia.
The 2008 Annual SBAFA meeting will be held October 10-12, 2008 at the Florida Sea Base Brinton Environmental Center. The focus of this meeting will be to organize and develop a strategy for increasing membership and tracking down those lost Sea Base souls out there on the Sapona of the real world. There will be a Luau and social gathering on Friday, The SBAFA meeting on Saturday morning, and a fun filled trip to Big Munson Saturday afternoon. Lodging and meals will be provided by the Sea Base for a nominal fee.
Since 1970, the Florida Sea Base programs have been providing many people with winter, spring, or summer jobs filled with memories for Scouts and Scouters. Now, they are looking to show their appreciation to the alumni of the Sea Base by inviting them to the Florida Keys for a weekend of celebration.

Sea Base and SBAFA-related photos and stories
Got some Sea Base photos sitting around?
SBAFA is looking to build a library of photos from across the years of those that have helped make the Sea Base.
Maybe our bouyancy characteristics have changed a little and we have a little less shade on the top, but that little time that we got to spend at Sea Base certainly changed all of us with the memories we have. Help us share those memories by submitting scans or digital images of your time on the rocks. Please e-mail the digital images, as an attached jpeg, to Photo Submission
The Association is also in the process of collecting stories of and about Sam Wampler, the first few years of "The Florida National High Adventure Sea Base", and memories / reflections of Florida Sea Base-related adventures and fellowship. Please send, only as text included in the e-mail, the stories to SBAFA Stories
- Thirty Years Already?
2010 will mark a momentus year in history. It will be both the 100th anniversary of the BSA and the 30th anniversary of the Florida Sea Base. Planning is already underway for a gala event to take place at the Sea Base in October of 2010. Mark your calendars now, the goal is to bring every alumni and friend of the Sea Base down for a great weekend of fun and fellowship. Tune in often for further details.

The Sea Base Alumni and Friends Association, with support from the Florida Sea Base, held its first Florida Sea Base Alumni Reunion on May 7, 2005. Many fellowship-related activities took place during the Reunion weekend; the following pictures are from the 2005 Reunion.
