ACTIVITIES:

During your stay, enjoy a range of exciting adventures across the Florida Keys. There will be opportunities for fishing, SCUBA diving, snorkeling, and more! Each day will have a mix of activities and opportunities to choose your own adventure. In addition to exciting life on the high seas, there will be plenty of time for relaxation, camaraderie, and refreshments!

Prior to the reunion, registered guests will be sent a link to pick from offered trips for each day. Some options will be considered ‘upgrades’ and will include additional costs per person to attend, but all time slots will have available free activities included in the registration. Upgraded adventures may be subject to minimum or maximum attendance, and all adventures may be at risk of delay or cancellation due to weather.

The reunion will include a ceremony to establish a new time capsule at the Florida Sea Base in celebration of the SBAFA 20th anniversary! Feel free to bring up to (2) small items to include per guest. The time capsule will consist of two nalgene bottles, so items must be able to fit accordingly.

ACCOMODATIONS:

The reunion has a number of options for a tired pirate to lay their head down for a night of rest!

Housing at the Florida Sea Base in Islamorada will be available in the Sailing Dorms, the SCUBA dorms, and the Thomas Building, and is offered on a first come, first served basis.

• Dorm lodging accommodates varying sizes of families as well as individuals, with semi-private shared bathroom facilities.

  • Youth under 14 are not allowed in the Sailing Dorms. If you wish to attend with younger children please plan to stay in the SCUBA dorms or Thomas Building, and contact Reunion@SBAFA.org for additional information.

• Thomas Building rooms can accommodate up to two adults with a private bathroom. Guests will be assigned a roommate, or may book a room for themselves for additional costs.

• Bed & Bath linens will be provided by Sea Base for all rooms.

• For guests who prefer to stay off-base at one of the many beautiful Keys hotels, we offer a registration option that includes meals and activities only.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS:

• Transport to and from the Florida Sea Base is the responsibility of guests. Shuttles will be available for guests for an additional fee payable during activity selection prior to the reunion

• All minors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the reunion.

• There is an option to register via a deposit only at this time. This registration applies to food and activities but does not secure a spot in any specific lodging. Final payments including selection of still-available lodging options will be due in full by August 1st, 2024
